When having certain issues with the TechnoHunt system, is it common that we will need to gather information from the computer to help determine where the problem lies. Each time a new game is started, (4) log files are created. These files contain vital information about the shots being fired, and can be examined by our software engineers to isolate the problem.
It is important to note that each time you start a new game, these log files are deleted, and a new set are created in their place. Therefore, after having problems and ending the game, you must exit TechnoHunt immediately, and do NOT start another game.
The directory these files are in is C:\AIS\Technohunt\bin
The names of the files are:
Angleevent.dat
Shotevent.dat
Tracker.dat
Hunt.log
You must be careful not to mistake Angle for Angleevent.
If any of these files are missing, then the Start Button in TechnoHunt was most likely clicked, and thus the old files were deleted.
Rebooting the system and starting a TechnoHunt game will re-create these files, but you must shoot the game and re-create the error that’s occurring, as the old information was lost.
If the system ‘Freezes’ and you need to power down the computer, these files should be there when you reboot. Just remember to click Exit as soon as the TechnoHunt menu loads, and retrieve these files.
Instructions for copying the (4) log files onto a floppy disk:
1) Exit out of TechnoHunt completely until you reach the main Windows Desktop ( My Computer, Recycle Bin, Etc.).
