Chronograph
The FPS (feet per second) is calculated when an arrow passes through the Shooting Line Array, and then through the Screen Array. There is a setting in TechnoHUNT that shows the current distance from the Shooting Line Array to the Screen Array. The default distance is usually set at 51.0-54.0 ft. Please keep in mind that this is calculating the FPS at the screen, not at the shooting line, and thus will tend to be somewhere between 10-20 FPS slower than your normal chronograph.
It is possible to change this setting if you wish your TechnoHUNT system to match your stand-alone Chronograph's speed.
IMPORTANT: Change ONLY the settings outlined below. Changing any other setting in this area can cause your TechnoHUNT system to stop working completely, and will be virtually impossible to troubleshoot. Do Not Change Any Other Setting!!
- Exit TechnoHUNT completely, until you reach the main Windows Desktop (with My Computer, Recycle Bin, etc).
- Click on the Start Button on the bottom left of the screen.
- Click on Run
- In the box, Type thwiz , and hit Enter or Click OK.
- A warning will appear telling you that changing these values may disable TechnoHunt. Click YES.
- Click Change Registry.
- Click on the Hardware Tab (the tabs run across the top of the new window).
- On the left side of the screen there is a box labeled Screen Distance.
- This distance is measured in Feet, and should be kept in the same format (51.0, not just 51). You may change this number up or down to suit your needs.
- Increasing the distance will make the system think the arrow is traveling farther than it actually is, thus Increasing its calculated speed.
- Decreasing the distance will Lower the calculated speed.
- This distance is measured in Feet, and should be kept in the same format (51.0, not just 51). You may change this number up or down to suit your needs.
- On the left side of the screen there is a box labeled Screen Distance.
- Click on OK at the bottom of the screen after adjusting your distance.
- Click on OK to exit THwiz.
Once again, it is vital that you do not change Any Other Setting in THWiz, unless directed by an employee of Archery Interactive. Doing so may cause irreversible harm to your TechnoHUNT system.
- Click on Run
